Biography

She is a native of Slovakia. After her studies at the Conservatory and then at the Academy of Performing Arts in Bratislava, she started her career as an opera singer at the Slovak National Theater in Bratislava.

She sang at the Janacek opera Brno, National Theater in Prague, State oper Prague, Polish National Opera in Warsaw and other opera houses. She appeared as Carmen on stages of several theatres in Spain (e. g. Zaragoza, Malaga, Cartagena, Lleida, Elche, Murcia and others) and in France (Merignac, Frejus). She also cooperated with the Shanghai Philharmonic Orchestra in the role of Carmen under the baton of Michel Sasson in China. She sang Olga in Tchaikovsky´s Eugen Onegin, directed by P. Konwitchny, in Leipzig.

The singer has gained acclaim in numerous successful non- operatic performances at home as well as in many european countries. She is capable of dominating in the field of chamber, or even oratorio music, e. g. concert of Beethoven´s 9th Symphony in the Wiener Musikverein under the baton of Martin Händler. To her other concert performances belong Mozart´s Requiem and the Czech Christmas Mass by Jakub Jan Ryba in coopertaion with conductor Leoš Svarovsky, with whom she co-worked also in Japan in Dvorak´s Stabat Mater with the Tokyo Metropolitan Symphony Orchestra and Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra. She has also given performances with the Philharmony of Bohuslav Martinu and Metropolitan Orchestra Bratislava. Among her chamber repertoire can be found Beethoven´s Messe in C. Her concert repertoire includes pieces by G.Verdi (Requiem) and G.Mahler (Symphony nr. 2). She has presented herself several times at the International Opera Festival in Miskolc, Hungary (Dryad in Ariadne auf Naxos and Tisbe in Rossini´s Cenerentola) and on the Pafos Aphrodite Festival, Cyprus (Emilia in Verdi´s Otello). Her chamber repertoire has been presented in the Czech Republic, Germany and Poland. She cooperates with prominent conductors such as Marco Munari, Walter Kobera, Friedrich Heider and others.

She has got prize of Slovak Literary Fond for Dorabella in Mozart´s opera Cosi fan tutte and Margueritte in Berlioz opera Faust damnation. Moreover, she got Honorary diploma for concert in Bolshoi Theatre of Belarus.
